To blog or not to blog, that is the question! I’m not a blogging expert by any means but I have some thoughts to share on the subject when trying to decide if your website needs a blog component.
The first is that blogging is a commitment so if you are going to do it then you have to really do it. Do it consistently, create interesting subject matter, use images and video if you can and have fun with it.
Second is do not let a blog go stale. If you are not really into content creation it’s best to not have a blog at all. Blogs that have not been touched in years imply that you’re not in touch with the present day, you do not maintain your web presence and that you might not even care anymore.
Thirdly, you can repurpose your blog content for social media – 2 birds, 1 stone. We like to use our content here, on Instagram, Facebook and our blog. It may change a bit but, we have some cool stuff to share in different places.
Having a blog on your website is a great way to boost your SEO and get people interested in your brand. It also allows you to keep visitors up to date, educated and entertained which is always good for business. If you like the idea of blogging it’s a great thing to incorporate into your website and if not, just leave it out.
