It’s Important to get Testimonials & Google Reviews

When building websites is part of your day to day, there are lots of supporting things you get to learn such as leveraging Google. I’m willing to bet everybody reading this uses Google for searching and even if you prefer another search engine, likely you have (at very least) used Google.

It’s an extremely powerful machine and can really help boost your presence online. Today I’d like to touch on the power of Google reviews and why you need them.

I am a big fan of testimonials on a website and really feel you should have them for credibility. I’m an even bigger fan of getting Google reviews now as that’s next level street cred! Here’s why:

  • Your visibility on Google improves as you get more reviews and increases brand trust
  • Reviews have to be posted from an individuals account so typically are genuine (good or bad)
  • There is a star rating which helps people get an idea of a company’s credibility at a glance
  • You can like and reply to your reviews to show the human connection & caring
  • Click through rates improve and convert to more clients

If you do not have a proper Google business profile set up yet I highly encourage you to do it today. If you already have a profile but only a few reviews start asking for more. As you complete a sale ask your clients if they would mind writing a review and send them a link to do so. People almost always are happy to write a review so make it easy for them so you can benefit from their kind words.
