When Bodhi Tree Teaching came to us, their website had one clear job: promote the teaching space, list available courses, and allow students to register and pay. On the surface, it was mostly doing that. Behind the scenes, it was a different story.
The site was built on an old template that was slowly breaking. We were applying monthly fixes just to keep it functioning. It became a cycle of maintenance instead of progress. When it reached the point where it was no longer usable on mobile, we knew it was time to stop patching the problem and address the foundation.
We presented two options. Rebuild the existing site to look exactly the same. Or create a new platform that reflected who the business is today, not who it was seven years ago. The decision was clear. It was time to move forward.
As we mapped out the rebuild, we looked beyond the surface. We reviewed the full registration process and uncovered a hidden issue. After every enrolment, our client was manually emailing participants confirmations, reminders, and course details. Hours of repetitive admin every month. She also wanted a dedicated space for her year-long students to access resources but had no system to support it.
So we restructured the entire experience.
We built a new website that automated course registration emails from the moment a student enrolled. Confirmations, reminders, and follow ups now happen seamlessly in the background. We also created a secure, password protected portal where year-long students can access their materials in one organised place. On the backend, the system was designed so she can easily add new courses, activate email automations, and update the portal as programs evolve.
