It’s a Monday and I thought a great way to start the week would be with sharing some valuable free resources. If you do any of your own social posts, blog, update your website or create slide decks these websites are a huge help.
When you are in need of stock photos for your blog or social we love www.unsplash.com and www.pexels.com for a pretty decent selection of imagery. You can use the images and the idea is to give the photographer a shout out on social or use the credit info provided at time of download.
For those of you who work with vector images and want to save some time in designs check out www.vecteezy.com. Always be sure to check the rules on the artwork you download. But overall this can be a really useful site when you need to get some vector graphics in a hurry or on a tight budget.
Recently I also learned about www.pixabay.com which has photos, illustrations, vectors, videos, music and sound effects.
One thing to be aware of when using free materials are that they should not be used for items intended for resale. For example, if you were making a design for mugs or t-shirts to sell on Etsy that likely will be against the licence. Always double check the rules around usage to protect yourself. If we all play nice in the sandbox we will keep getting access to all these amazing things.
