When Busy Beans came to life, it started as an idea inside an existing business. Juanita, already running Payless Income Tax, wanted to launch something different, a fresh bookkeeping brand that stood apart from her tax practice and spoke directly to small business owners in need of support. She needed clarity and structure to separate the two businesses and bring this new concept to life.
We partnered with Hive Growth Partners, who led Busy Beans through their signature Growth Strategy process. Together with Hive, Juanita gained clarity on the business offering, target audience, and operational positioning. Hive then developed strategic copy and messaging that would anchor the brand’s voice.
Once that foundation was established, Flying Horse Design Studio stepped in to create the visual identity and build the website that would bring the brand to life. Our challenge was to craft a playful, unexpected brand that stood apart from traditional bookkeeping firms, without losing professionalism. Busy Beans needed to feel memorable and approachable while still conveying expertise and trustworthiness.
The result was a brand identity that combined warmth and personality with clear authority. The website was built to amplify that message, making it simple for potential clients to understand the services, engage with the brand, and reach out with confidence.
The launch was a success. Busy Beans quickly established itself as a distinct, compelling presence in the market. That momentum didn’t just benefit the new brand, it inspired Juanita to revisit Payless Income Tax with renewed clarity. We then created a refreshed website for Payless that fully completed the separation between the two businesses and positioned each for growth on its own terms.
Together, the strategic partnership with Hive and the design and development work from Flying Horse Design Studio delivered outcomes that included:
- A clearly differentiated brand identity that stands out in a crowded market
- A website that supports lead engagement and communicates value with confidence
- Separation of two businesses with aligned but distinct positioning
- A stronger operational foundation for scaling services across both brands
- 59% increase in monthly revenue since brand launch
The Busy Beans project was not a solo effort. It was a strategic collaboration that combined Hive’s business strategy expertise with FHDS’s brand and web execution. Each partner brought what they do best, creating a result that positioned the business for clarity, growth, and long-term success.
